Let's get our hands dirty for LINC's first "Philanthro-Party" of 2017!
Join us as we build garden boxes for Flanner Working Farm's "Community Garden." Flanner Farms will soon sprout on the 2 1/4 acre campus at nearby 24th and Martin Luther King streets, making it the future site of the largest urban farm in Indiana.
Your efforts will help Flanner Farm provide healthy, fresh, affordable food to individuals and families in Central Indiana's largest food desert. Hear from Mat Davis, Flanner House's food justice coordinator about how the Farm will create economic opportunities for residents in the neighborhood, including youth.
Afterwards, put down your shovels and enjoy tasty craft beer and great farm-to-fork sandwiches as we celebrate helping our neighbors move from instability to self-sufficiency.
It's Good Deeds and a Good Time!
Attendance is free. Bring a friend and garden gloves, if you have them.
